Accessibility
Avra Press exists so more voices can be heard, and that includes making sure everyone can read this site. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we've done
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible outline showing where you are and a “Skip to content” link at the top.
- Text is real text, not pictures of text, so screen readers can read it and you can resize it up to 200 percent without losing anything.
- Pages use proper headings and landmarks, and form fields have labels, so assistive technology can describe them.
- Text and background colors meet the WCAG contrast requirements.
- Nothing on the site flashes, plays sound, or moves on its own.
Tell us what isn't working
If any part of this site is hard for you to use, please email hello@avrapress.com and tell us the page and the problem. We'll work to fix it, and in the meantime we'll get you the information you need in a way that works for you.
