These terms apply to your use of avrapress.com, which is run by Avra Press, LLC (“Avra Press,” “we,” or “us”), and to work you submit to us. By using the site or submitting your work, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Our content

The text, design, logo, and mark on this site, and any book excerpts or covers, belong to Avra Press or to our authors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You're welcome to read the site, share links to it, and quote brief passages with credit for review or commentary. Otherwise, please don't copy, republish, sell, or adapt our content, or use it to train artificial intelligence systems, without our written permission. To ask, email rights@avrapress.com.

Submitting your work

When you submit a manuscript, query, or other materials to Avra Press:

• You keep your rights. Submitting does not transfer any rights to us. We publish nothing without a signed contract.
• You confirm the work is yours. You confirm that the work is your original writing, that you have the right to submit it, and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights.
• You let us read it. You give us permission to read, discuss internally, and keep your materials as described in our Privacy Policy, only so we can consider your work.
• We read in confidence, and ideas are shared. We receive many manuscripts, and themes, subjects, settings, and ideas aren't owned by any one writer. We may publish work that resembles yours in theme or subject. That alone doesn't mean we used your submission.
• There's no obligation. Submitting doesn't create an obligation for either of us to publish, and we can't offer feedback on every submission.
• We never charge fees. Avra Press never charges reading fees and never asks authors to pay to be published.
• Age. You must be 18 or older to submit. Younger writers may submit through a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these terms on their behalf.

Using the site

Please don't interfere with the site or its security, try to get into parts of it that aren't public, or collect content from it in bulk by automated means.

Links to other sites

We may link to other websites, such as our submission form service. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content or how they handle your information.

No warranties

We work to keep this site accurate and available, including details such as reading periods, but we provide it “as is” and may change or remove anything on it at any time. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind about the site.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Avra Press is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site. This doesn't limit any liability that can't be limited under applicable law.

Copyright concerns

If you believe something on this site infringes your copyright, email rights@avrapress.com with the material in question, where it appears, and how to reach you. We'll look into it promptly.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we'll post the new version here and update the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
